PROGRESSIVE Northern NSW dairy co-operative Norco has marked another milestone with the first shipments of Coles branded milk currently in transit.
Consumers in Northern NSW and South East Queensland from today will be buying Norco-processed milk under the Coles home brand label.
In April last year, the big supermarket announced that the Australian-owned co-operative, based in Lismore, had secured the contract to supply its Coles branded milk.
Under this contractual agreement, up to 65 million litres of milk will be processed annually at the Norco milk factory in Labrador.
Coles managing director John Durkan said Norco would supply the equivalent of 500,000 bottles of milk each week.
