HE WAS the first bull led into the judging ring in the first class out of 10 classes and 108 bulls, but he made such an impression he was chosen as the Division 1 and grand champion of the 55th Dectomax Dubbo Shorthorn National Show and sale today.
Officiating over the show, John Manchee, Yamburgan Shorthorns, Narrabri, said the youngest bull of the fixture, 15 month-old Eloora Designer J06 (P), “really impressed” him.
“The moment he entered the ring I liked him. He has a strong top and a strong behind and his muscling is first class.”
Designer was exhibited by the Brook family, Eloora stud, Cavendish, Victoria. Division 2 champion was Sprys On Target H189 (P), shown by Claudia Nielsen and the Spry family in partnership of Warral. Division 3 champion was Bayview Tradition H64 (P), shown by the Thompson family, Bayview stud Yorketown, South Australia.
Division 4 champion was Kamilaroi Meat Packer (P), shown by Calrossy Anglican School, Tamworth.
