STRONG bidding from repeat clients saw Clunie Range Angus sell all 104 bulls at its on-property sale at "Springfield", Wallangra, on Friday.
Bulls sold to a top of $12,000 and average of $5875, with vendors Hugh and Hazel Guest and Breet and Kim Guest pleased by the full clearance.
Buyers came from far and wide, with bulls going as far south as Holbrook and north to Middlemount, Queensland.
The top-priced bull, Clunie Range Hot Poker, by Te Mania Emperor from Clunie Range Jestress, sold to New England producers Wes and Cheryl Hall, "Kingston", Glen Innes.
Weighing 952 kilograms, the 24-month-old bull had been used in the stud herd as a yearling and was in the top 1 per cent for all growth rates, with estimated breeding values (EBVs) of 6.9 for birthweight, 54 for 200-day weight, 98 for 400-day weight and 132 for 600-day weight.
