Rain fell steadily throughout on Thursday as quality store stock maintained their prices at Barnawatha sale yard.
Peter Ruaro Livestock, Barnawatha director Peter Ruaro said sales of the 2300 cattle yarded lived up to expectations.
"There was solid demand throughout the sale."
Feature lines of young steers attracted strong bidding with prices ranging from $600 to $1140.
The few pens of lighter conditioned steers ranged in price from $265 to $330.
Heifers in forward condition ranged in price from $535 to $1040.
A limited offering of light conditioned heifers ranged in price from $230 to $565.
Prices for cows with calves at foot and PTIC topped at $1375, while prices for unjoined cows with calves at foot ranged from $840 to $920 depending on their condition.
Wodonga agents in conjunction Brian Unthank Rural, Paull & Scollard, Peter Ruaro Livestock and Ray White Schubert Boers conducted the sale.
