WAGGA Wagga stud Injemira Beef Genetics smashed its own on-property average record for the second year in a row, with buyers coming from four States.
The Greening family's Poll Hereford and Hereford bull sale held on Tuesday achieved an $8155 average on the back of a 100 per cent clearance of 77 lots, after adding an extra eight bulls on last year's offering.
Last year's record sale averaged $6891.
The draft of 60 Poll Hereford bulls met the best competition, including the $32,000 top price, with an average of $9066.
The leading sire Injemira Anzac J188 sold to Steve Reid, Talbalba Herefords, Millmerran, Queensland, and Lachy Day, Days Whiteface, Bordertown, South Australia, for $32,000.
Injemira principal Marc Greening, Book Book, put the standout results down to a bullish beef market that was finally being driven by the world market and which gave the industry a stronger and more consistent outlook.
A highlight was the popular Allendale Anzac E114 line of sons that kicked the sale off averaging a whopping $11,833 for the 18 sold.
