IT'S time to nominate for the 2014 Australian Cotton Industry Awards.
The awards recognise excellence and high achievement in the cotton industry from growers and ginners to product suppliers, consultants, agronomists, researchers and extension teams.
Cotton Australia chief executive Adam Kay said the awards recognised the industry's leaders and their contribution to Australian cotton.
"The awards highlight more than a decade of achievement and innovation in Australia's great cotton industry, which has made such significant advancements in farm management, water conservation and sustainability," Mr Kay said.
"Our annual awards program is not about who is 'best', it is simply a tremendous way to recognise those who have contributed enormously to our industry and to shine a light on those leading the way."
"I encourage everyone in the industry to consider those around them who deserve recognition and nominate them for an award - it's a fantastic way to celebrate the industry's achievements and share the great work and commitment of people throughout the cotton supply chain."
There are five categories: Monsanto Grower of the Year; AgriRisk High Achiever of the Year; Chris Lehmann Trust Young Achiever of the Year; Cotton Seed Distributors Researcher of the Year; and Incitec Pivot Fertilisers Service to Industry Award.
Cash prizes are on offer for the recipients, with a travel bursary offered for the Young Achiever of the Year category.
