THE Northern District team has once again won gold at the Sydney Royal Show District Exhibits' competition.
Following on from last year's triple win, Arthur Johns, Richmond Hill via Lismore, and his team this year took home the overall points title.
The Central District took home the best display, and South-East Queensland bagged the people's choice award.
Mr Johns said the quality of the produce was down this year owing to the bad season.
"The quality of the produce was not good as past years, but everyone's in the same boat," Mr Johns said.
"We did exceptionally well in the hay, grasses and fodder section, and we were strong in our wool exhibits too."
All displays paid homage to the centenary of the Gallipoli landing.
The Northern District's display featured a series of mini-scenes depicting both the home and battle fronts of the First World War.
They personalised their design with portraits (made from seed) of young Woodenbong farmers, William Reid, Oswald McMillan and Donald Maloney.
Mr Johns and his wife Marie also donated the trophy for the Schools District Exhibits Competition, which was won by Hurlstone Agricultural High School.
