YOU won't find this showbag in the crowded showbag pavilion, but for those serious about rural Australia the Ag Bag should be on your spending agenda at Sydney Royal Show.
The $20 Ag Bag had its debut at last year's Royal and proved such a hit with visitors to the livestock judging quarter at the Homebush showground it returns as a star fundraiser for the Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) Foundation.
"It's the showbag that gives back to the community," said an excited RAS Foundation executive officer Kate Ross (pictured).
Sales of last year's 2000 Ag Bags in the Food Farm pavilion raised $25,000, enabling the foundation to add an extra two grant payouts to its Community Futures Grants program, to total six for 2014-15.
The grants fund youth-inspired regional community projects.
Past grants have paid for a multi-purpose ag implements trailer for Coonamble High School's rural skills courses and fencing for the Nevertire Muster's community grounds.
After selling out of stock before last year's Royal wrapped up, the RAS Foundation this year has 3000 bags to sell once the gates at Sydney Olympic Park open to the public today.
The Ag Bag includes 22 food and gift items worth more than $70, including products from primary sponsor SunRice, as well as Devondale flavoured milk, Nerada tea, a Kurrajong Kitchens snack, a diary and more.
Ms Ross said support from Ausbuy enabled the bag to highlight Australian produce and businesses.
