SIX students from NSW feature on the list of the 2015 Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation's Horizon Scholarships.
The Horizon scholarship awarded 14 university students involved in agriculture from across the country.
Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce said the awards scheme rewards students that "are strong role models for their peers".
"Their success will continue to pave the way for more students to undertake agricultural studies," Mr Joyce said.
NSW six scholarship recipients were Charles Sturt University students Amy Munro, Cumnock, Nicholas Grant, Temora, Jack McIntosh, Bathurst as well as University of Sydney students Elicia Jitming Lim, Beverley Hills, Scott Nevison, Gordon and Luke Vella, Leppington.
Queensland scholars were Jasmine Whitten, Hughenden University of New England and Eliza Seymour, Buderim, University of Queensland.
From South Australia there was Royce Pitchford, Echunga, University of Adelaide; and Alison Gill, Craigburn Farm, Adelaide University.
Victorian students included Caitlyn Daffey, Ballarat, James Cook University, Matthew Champness, Hamilton, Charles Sturt University and Camilla a'Beckett, Middle Park, University of Melbourne.
WA student Roxanne Mostert, University of Western Australia was also awarded.
