HORSEBALL teams descended on Wee Waa for the North West Horseball Championships at the weekend.

The event saw five senior teams and two junior teams compete in the Michael Maxwell Arena at Wee Waa Showground.
The sport is described as a horseback combination of polo and rugby, where teams of four players need to make three passes between their team before scoring goal through a large hoop.

The next horseball carnival will be the Australian Championships at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre in Tamworth on November 1 and 2.
