LOCAL Land Services (LLS) wants landowners to help develop a 10-year operational plan - but ratepayer complaints indicate some scepticism in the bush.
The controversial state government lands body is directing ratepayers, businesses, and community organisations to lls.nsw.gov.au to help it set its vision for improved primary production and management of natural resources.
Guided by the 10-year State Strategic Plan, five-year local strategic plans will be developed for each of the 11 LLS regions.
LLS executive manager Tim Ferraro said online consultation would be open for six weeks.
"This is an opportunity for people to see if what we're suggesting lines up with what they expect from LLS," Mr Ferraro said.
"We want to hear what people think. It is really important that people have their say now because in 12 to 18 months time when these plans are in place, it will be far too late for people to give feedback."
LLS has received mixed feedback since its formation 18 months ago, when it was amalgamated from 27 state lands organisations.
Questions tabled during budget estimates revealed LLS received 78 complaints in 2014, and a further 68 in the first nine months of 2015.
Agriculture Minister Niall Blair is a strong supporter of LLS.
