FARMERS and graziers across NSW can have their say on the National Broadband Network and mobile phone black spots, via a new survey from NSW Farmers.
The Federal Government is currently reviewing the NBN and has made a commitment of $100 million to fix mobile black spots across the country.
"The information gathered (in the survey) will help us to represent farmers on improving access and pricing of mobile and internet services in rural and regional areas," said NSW Farmers telecommunications spokesperson Anthony Gibson.
A similar survey conducted in 2011 found that close to 80 per cent of respondents had no or very little on-farm mobile coverage with 50 percent of respondents
unhappy or very unhappy with their mobile coverage.
Mr Gibson said it would be interesting to see if, in the space of three years, there had been any improvement in telecommunication coverage or satisfaction.
