TWO busloads of domestic and international Nuffield scholars, organisers and guests pulled up to The Land headquarters in North Richmond today.
The visit was part of the Contemporary Scholars Conference, which is a week-long conference hosted by Nuffield member countries, and rotated between the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
The conference started in Sydney on March 1 and the scholars stopped into The Land on their way to Canberra.
FarmOnline general manager Sally White spoke to the group about the evolution of rural news while The Land team took some happy snaps and spoke to visitors about their impressions of the Australian industry compared to farming operations around the world.
Western Australian grain grower and president of the WA National Party, Colin de Grussa, is a 2014 Nuffield scholar who will research how farmers across the globe interact with government for the benefit of their industry.

The Land had a chat to Mr de Grussa about the release of the Australian Farm Institute’s (AFI) report into the effectiveness of Australian farming advocacy groups.
Read what he had to say as well as a full story on the AFI report in Thursday’s edition of The Land.
