The first Cattemans Stud Limousin sale was held at the Mudgee saleyards last saturday, resulted in 18 of 27 Limousin cows and calves selling to $3300 and averaging $1,783, while 12 of the 18 bulls catalouged sold to a top of $7,100 and averaged $3,758.
The top priced bull Llerrog Handpicked, sired by Mandayen Vision Y329, had a good even figures a homo polled pedigree with estimeated breeding values (EBVs) +13 for milk and + 53 for docility, sold to a phone bidder from Bunderberg.
Paul and Denise Hayes Jaydale Limousin Stud, Dunedoo bought the top priced cow and calf Willow Park Genesis sired by ULM IMFFY223 selling for $3300 from Ruby Park Limousin Dubbo.
