THE Glen pastoral held their annual on-property sale at "Glenview", Walwa, Victoria, on Friday, topping at $7250 twice.
Principals the Gadd family cleared 44 of 46 Angus bulls offered to the top price and averaged $4295.
They also sold 13 of 16 Murray Grey bulls - Angus infused - to a top price of $5250, averaging $3712
Top priced yearling bull, The Glen Ambassador J224, sold to Rob Wythes of Narromine for $7250.
The 13-month-old bull had an estimated breeding value (EBV) below breed average for birthweight and was in the top five per cent of the Angus breed for 600 day-weight.
Mr Wythes has been purchasing bulls at the annual The Glen sale for more than 30 years.
Equal top price Angus bull was purchased by first time buyers H.S. and M.L. Muller, Walla Walla.
The Glen Admiral J96 was in the top 10pc of the breed for carcase weight, with a frame score of 7+.
Perennial supporters of The Glen's Grey cattle breeding program, Edwin and Linda Edge, Phoines Pastoral Co, Casterton, Victoria, were again volume buyers, securing five bulls to a top of $5250 averaging $4200.
