IT was a record setting sale for the Hicks family at their Holbrook sale today when they sold all 50 bulls for a new stud sale average of $6040.
The sale topped at $10,000 for red composite bull ABC J616.
The two-year-old bull was secured by volume buyer and return client Robert Woodward, Swan Hill, Victoria, via AuctionsPlus.
In the breakdown, all nine red composite bulls sold for $10,000 for an average of $6222; 25 black composite bulls sold for a top of $8500 to average $6120; 14 Red Angus bulls sold for a top of $9500 to average $6143; and two Black Simmental bulls sold for $3500 each.
The sale grossed $302,000.
