THE regular monitoring of leakage in pipes hydrostatic testers is allowing authorities around the world to save water.
Ageing infrastructure and a general lack of visibility of water transfer pipes and particularly connection points, means wasted water.
Australian Pump Industries has undertaken an education program aimed at both private and public water authorities, stressing the need to identify leaks through monitored hydrostatic test program.
Australian Pump has developed a complete range of hydrostatic test equipment designed for testing underground and surface mounted pipelines.
The testers consist of reliable high pressure diaphragm pumps that are easy to service and maintain.
The machines feature a double gauge and double valve system that enables the pressure to be locked off in the line after pressurisation.
"We cater for everything from small 20 bar engine drive tester for plumbers, right up to big machines for testing pipe-lines an systems in major government infrastructure" product manager Brad Farrugia said.
"We have got a new initiative coming out this year called Don't Waste a Drop.
"It's an education program designed to help plumbers, contractors private water companies, and government utilities.
"It explains how to reduce waste by simple hydrostatic testing."
