KEMPSEY Show recorded a lift in numbers through the gates thanks to a little luck.
Show secretary Maxine Mackenzie, Kempsey, said the show wasn't planned to take place during the school holidays but it did, which meant people who wouldn't usually attend were able to come.
She said horse entries were up at the show as well.
Although beef cattle numbers were down, there was a quality line-up presented by local producers.
The best exhibit of the beef cattle was the Charbray bull, John, exhibited by Johnathan and Anna Ward, Balmoral Park Charbray stud, Port Macquarie.
The Wards also took home grand champion female of the show for their cow, Grace.
Mrs Mackenzie said the weather at the show was perfect, with no sign of rain at all.
