The supreme interbreed titles have been awarded at Canberra Royal show with three studs and three breeds sharing the honours.
In the short wool section the Rowley family, Springwaters stud, Boorowa, were sashed the supreme short wool sheep with their champion Poll Dorset ram.
The short wool supreme ewe title was won by Bruce Stanford, Merton stud, Mudgee, with his champion White Suffolk ewe.
In the long wool section Graham and Isabella Grinter, Retallack stud, Ariah Park, won both the supreme ewe and ram titles with their champion Border Leicesters.
The Border Leicester ram was overall supreme long wool.
The judges made comment that all of the breeders should be proud of the line-up of sheep presented in the shed.
“The prime lamb industry is in a good situation looking at the quality of sheep in this shed,” said Border Leicester judge, Ian Carr, Keith, South Australia.
