PRICES were more consistent than punters had anticipated at the Hay Merino breeders spring sale last Friday.
While the crowd and market were somewhat subdued compared to last months mega sale, there were still 30,000 sheep penned.
The sale topped at $180, which was paid by the Wilson family, Ungarie, for 435 August-shorn, May/June 2013-drop Merino ewes that were Wargam bred and Willera blood, and offered by regular vendors Karl and Will Hooke, "Wargam", Booroorban.

There was a solid supply of 12,000 Merino wether lambs which topped at $75.
There were 2000 cross bred lambs yarded, which topped at $88.
