REPEAT buyers from the New England region pushed prices to a top of $1400 at the annual Stanley Vale Merinos ram sale on Friday.
Nineteen of the 29 super fine rams offered were sold for a clearance of 65 per cent and average of $721.
Long-time Stanley Vale client Don Edmonds, "Muswell Hill", Kentucky, was the top bidder, purchasing lot two for $1400.
The ram weighed 97.5 kilograms, had a fibre diameter of 17.3-micron, a standard deviation (SD) of 3.1-micron, a co-efficient variation of 17.8pc and a comfort factor of 100pc.
