Fairfax Rural Events (FRE), formerly known as Rural Press Events, has taken over management of the Norco Primex Field Days at Casino (NSW) from Queensland based Exhibition Marketing.
FRE is Australia's biggest and one of the most experienced field day operators having run the AgQuip field days in Gunnedah since 1995 and CRT FarmFest in Toowoomba since 2005.
Tamworth-based FRE has also been involved in staging and running field days and other exhibitions all over Australia and NZ.
It is a division of Fairfax Media, publishers of The Land, Queensland Country Life and many other rural, regional and metropolitan publications such as the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. The multimedia giant is Australia's biggest news organisation.
Group manager of Fairfax Rural Events, Kate Nugent, said the company had been licensed by the owners, Exhibition Marketing, to manage the Casino event for a number of years.
"This means all organisation, sales and marketing will now be handled through the company’s headquarters in Tamworth," Ms Nugent said.
"I am pleased to announce that major sponsor, Norco, has agreed to continue their involvement with the prestigious event.
A spokesman for Norco said: "We all share the responsibility of keeping the future of our Australian farming industry alive and prosperous; it just makes good sense and if feels good too!"
Ms Nugent said during the past three decades Norco Primex had become an institution on the NSW North Coast.
Norco Primex will be held over three days on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 18, 19 and 20 June on its special field day site, the Richmond Valley Event Centre, on the outskirts of Casino.
