The Australian record for an on-property bull sale average was broken yet again at Thursday’s Millah Murrah Angus sale at Bathurst, where 80 bulls sold for an average of $8850.
The bulls sold to a 100 per cent clearance and a top of $20,000.
This comes hot on the heels of several averages passing $8000 in the past week.
The previous Australian record was made just last Wednesday at Milwillah Angus at Young, where 51 bulls sold for an average of $8637.
John and Jock Snodgrass, of Cudgell Creek Angus at Young, purchased the top-priced bull of the sale, Millah Murrah Neutron E161 (AI), for $20,000.
The second highest bull went to John and Joan Woodruff of Witherswood Angus in Victoria, at $18,000.”
