Readers have voted in The Land’s Paddock Bashers photographic competition and there can only be – well – two winners.
Staff at The Land staff have decided on a winner and hundreds of readers have chosen their favourite.
Competition votes flooded into our mailbox, while our online poll attracted more than 400 votes.
There were 10 finalists in the running to win one of two major prize packs.
The photo entry judged best by The Land staff and another one judged best by readers each receive a swag from Goodwoods Saddlery, valued at $300, and an Akubra Cattleman hat, valued at $175.
The Land staff’s pick was the entry by Cate Stanton, Fullerton, of her great grandson, Logan Davies, 18 months, in a functioning 1987 Subaru ute pictured with his dog Tess.
The overwhelming reader winner was Kristen Whitby, Queanbeyan, whose photo tilted My Buddy and I is of a 1954 Land Rover named Ripper that has been family-loved and owned for 30 years.
Readers who voted using the published coupon went into a draw to win one of two reader prize packs comprising an Akubra Cattleman hat, valued at $175, plus merchandise from The Land, valued at more than $100.
The two winners of the reader competition are Felicity Webb, Oberon, and Margaret Wright, Merriwa.
