Steers in demand at Carcoar | Video
STEERS sold well in excess of 420 cents a kilogram (liveweight) for the top pens at the Carcoar store cattle sale on Friday.
There was plenty of demand from buyers right across the Central Tablelands and Central West creating a solid sale for all grades of stock.
Although not as dear at last month’s sale, the market was still well above the same time last year.
A feature line of cattle from Narracoorte in South Australia created plenty of interest with the top pen of steers making $1025 a head and the following three pens knocked down for $995 a head.
