GLOUCESTER Show was a buzz with young judges and exhibitors during the two day event, on Friday and Saturday last week.
The beating heat did little to deter people from attending the Show, with plenty of snow cones readily sold to thirsty participants.
Gloucester Show president James Hook said there was an increased number of young judges and exhibitors to the show this year.
“The show went really well, we had a lot of young judges in the cooking, the cattle events,” Mr Hook said.
“We’re trying to break in a new generation of judges and exhibitors.”
He said there were record numbers of people to the show on the Friday.
“There was a big crowd of young people we don’t normally see, so people traveled to Gloucester to attend our show, which is good,” he said.
“The rest of the show was really good, on the Saturday night we had Roof Top Express, a two man act and the wood chop is always popular.”
Mr Hook said although there weren’t enough numbers for the campdraft, “the rodeo more than made up for it, particularly with the celebrity ride by local business owners.”
