ROGER and Lyn French from Uandi Maine Anjous, Huntley, dominated the breed competition at the Sydney Royal Show.
The couple’s heifer, Uandi XO Vilate, took out best exhibit as well as winning junior and grand champion female under the eyes of judge Dennis Moxey, Forbes.
It was the heifer’s first show outing, apart from when it was shown with its mother, Roug De Pres Vilate, last year at Sydney when it won senior champion female.
The heifer’s mother was from a French embryo the Frenches imported for their stud.
Roug De Pres Vilate won best exhibit at the Melbourne Royal last year and Mrs French said they hoped Uandi Vilate would also have success there later in the year.
Uandi stud also took out grand champion bull, with their two-year-old Uandi Ace. The 1046 kilogram bull had an eye muscle area of 138 square centimetres and scanned six millimetres each for rib and rump fat.
