A BIG crowd has converged on Skellatar Park for the $50,000 'Wild Card' Country Championships at the Muswellbrook Race Club.
And, CEO Duane Dowell thinks the winner of the Country Championships Final can once again come from his race club’s qualifier.
"The depth of this race is amazing,” he said.
“It will probably be stronger than any of the other qualifiers.
"I believe the winner of the race will be a big chance in the Final.
"The course is also looking a treat today, thanks to racecourse manager Steve Bottomley and his team."
The final two spots in the Country Championships Final will be filled by the first two placegetters at Muswellbrook on Sunday following another highly successful series of seven qualifying races from all around the state.
“The Country Championships has grown further this year and the Muswellbrook Wild Card race has already proved to be one of the most important in the series,” Racing NSW’s chief executive Peter V’landys AM said.
The Muswellbrook Race Club is providing free activities including jumping castles, Easter egg giveaways and a sausage sizzle.
