WATER availability on Walcha property “Eulo” is as good as it gets.
The 1711 hectare (4230 acre) property boasts eight kilometres of double frontage to the McDonald River and 3.5km frontage to the permanent Smiths Creek. The grazing property, located east of Niangala, receives about 950 millimetres a year.
The majority of “Eulo” ranges from level, slightly sloping and rolling arable areas through to soft open undulating grazing country. The soils are mostly productive basalt and loams.
About 80 per cent of the property is suitable for direct drilling of pasture. While there is currently a pasture improvement program that is undertaken on the property, there is huge scope to improve production if a more extensive program was undertaken.
The property is owned by the Macarthur Onslow family and is being sold to finalise a family partnership. It is currently managed in conjunction with another holding and is used to breed, trade and finish cattle and sheep.
Fencing is in excellent condition.
The “Eulo” homestead is of weatherboard construction and has five bedrooms. There is also a one bedroom cottage.
The property will be taken to auction on May 5 by Chris Ward Property Sales, Tamworth, and Landmark Walcha.
“With the beef industry about to enter its golden years now is your opportunity to secure a top grazing property with scale and upside,” Chris Ward Property Sales agent Scott Waters said.
