During the 2016 Limousin National Show and Sale, a young cow with her first calf was awarded supreme exhibit by judge Steven Pearce, Telpara Hills Brangus, Atherton Tablelands, QLD.
Mr Pearce said the cow, Warrawindi Krystal Gem K15, was “a stunning exhibit for any breed.”
“She has plenty of milk for a two-year-old and is not extreme,” he said.
Along with her heifer calf, the supreme exhibit later sold for $14,000 Aruma Limousins, Korunge, SA.
Top priced female was Summit Cauliflower K34, sold by Hayden Green, Summit Limousin stud, Uranquinty to Toebelle Limousins, Duns Creek, for $15,000.
Top priced bull, Garren Park Kandahar had been judged reserve senior champion, before being sold by Gary and Karen Hedger, Garren Park Limousin stud, Culcairn before being purchased for $20,000 by Riviere Vue Limousins, Singleton.
Junior and grand champion bull, Birubi Kaiser K140, bred by Annette Tynan, Birubi Limousin stud, Borambola, sold for $8000.
