Massey Ferguson’s new eight model MF7700 Series tractor range offer power from 102 kilowatt to 187kW, a choice of three transmissions and two levels of specification - efficient or exclusive.
Engine Power Management (EPM), which provides up to 18kW extra power, is standard on all models taking maximum power to 205kW on the MF7726.
Agco general marketing manager, tractors, Michael Partridge said the MF 7700 Series continued Massey Ferguson’s drive to develop dependable, straightforward, low maintenance tractors that provided efficiencies across all farming operations.
The 7700 series features six cylinders, 6.6-litre and 7.4-litre Agco power engines, with EPM generating an extra 25 horsepower on all models in the range.
Agco’s Massey Ferguson tractor product manager John Horan said the tier four final emissions control via SCR did not have any detrimental effect on performance or fuel consumption.
“It is completely maintenance free so the customer does not need to worry about exchanging catalysts or filters, you simply put the Adblue in and that's all you have to worry about,” Mr Horan said.
There is a choice of Dyna-4, Dyna-6 semi-powershift or Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission and electronic PTO speed selection on all Efficient and Exclusive models.
Dyna-VT provides stepless speed changes with selection of any combination of engine speed and forward speed.
Rear linkage capacity has increased to 7100 kilograms on 7714 to the 9950kg on 7724 and 7726 models, while 4000kg capacity front linkage is optional.
Ride and control is enhanced by a newly designed front axle suspension.
Cabin suspension is via fixed front rubber block mounts and either mechanical - spring and damper calibrated to size of tractor, or electronically controlled active suspension.
Mr Horan said active controlled suspension allowed people to adapt suspension to the movement so it provided a firmer ride at higher speeds in road gear and allow more dampening on slower rougher field work.
A new, clear dashboard with a colour display provides better visibility day and night, making it easier to use the SIS – Set Up and Information Screen.
The multi-function joystick, which is an option on all models, provides press button shuttle control, as well as operating the hydraulic spools or a loader.
MF7700 Series tractors feature a new load-sensing, closed-centre pump, that come standard with a 110 litre per minute system delivering to 150 L/min on Dyna-6 tractors, while Dyna-VT models provide to 190 L/min.
