DO YOU dream big while you’re driving the tractor? While your sitting on the loo?
Regional Pitchfest could be the competition for you!
The event, to be held in Wagga Wagga on June 29, will see would-be entrepreneurs from the Murray-Riverina region pitch their biggest, most innovative business idea to an expert panel in front of a live audience.
The winner will take home a cash prize of $5,000 to get their idea off the ground.
Applications for Regional Pitchfest close on May 27.
The event is the brainchild of businesswoman Dianna Somerville, Collingullie.
She said bringing the Riverina’s everyday entrepreneurs under one roof is all part of her quest to make Wagga Wagga a centre of “innovation and excellence”.
“No other town has earned the title of being a centre for regional entrepreneurship. I know there’s so many new businesses and ideas here already I think we can take the title,” she said.
