Police are investigating after four head of cattle were found shot dead in Cangai, west of Grafton.
Two cows were found shot dead on a property on the Gwydir Highway, while two bullocks were found dead at a property on Coombadja Road, both in Cangai, on Monday May 16 .
Police from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command were notified after the bodies were found by the property owners; it’s believed the attack happened between Friday, May 13 and Monday, May 16.
The bodies have undergone forensic examination and investigations into the incidents are continuing.
The cattle have a combined estimated value of $8000.
Police are urging anybody with information about the incidents or similar incidents to come forward.
