MORE than 500 polocrosse players took to the field at Coolah for the NSW Polocrosse Club Championships hosted by Cassilis Polocrosse Club over the June long weekend.
Nearly 100 teams travelled from across NSW and Queensland for the event.
The Albury-Holbrook club cleaned up at the end of the carnival, winning the championship men’s and women’s competitions.
Jugiong won the championship mixed competition, the New England Girls’ School won the championship junior competition and Tumut won the sub-juniors competition.
Albury-Holbrook number one Abbott Grills and his horse Percussion were the best men’s combination and overall champion horse and rider of the carnival.
Lucy Grills, also from Albury-Holbrook, won champion ladies horse and rider, and Will Weston, Jugiong, received best horse and rider for the mixed competitions.
Narrabri’s Jessie Ross won champion junior horse and rider and Gus White, Guyra, and his horse Barnetts Stardust were the best combination in the sub-juniors.
