Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained within the promotional advertisements form part of these terms and conditions. By participating, in this promotion entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1. Entry is open to all residents of Australia. Employees of Fairfax Media, their immediate family, associated agencies and companies connected with the promotion are not eligible to enter.
2. The Promotion is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
3. The competition commences on July 7 at 00:01 (AEDST) with last entries to be received no later than 17:00 (AEDST) August 5, 2016.
4. Photographs submitted must be the entrant’s own original work and must not have been published previously or been obtained from a secondary source. By submitting a photograph, an entrant grants The Land (the Promoter) and its related entities a royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, publish or display the photographs in any form anywhere in the world. To enter, participants must send images to the address shown in The Land in line with the theme of the competition. Inappropriate, illegal, unlawful or illegible contributions will not be accepted and will be deemed invalid.
5. Entrants must include their personal details including full name, address, email and a daytime contact telephone number.
6. Photographs submitted may be displayed in the pages of The Land, The Glovebox Guide to Mental Health, and its related publications. The Land, the Glovebox Guide to Mental Health and their related entities accept no responsibility for materials submitted and advise that entries submitted will not be returned to entrants.
7. Entries should be emailed to competitions@theland.com.au or posted to Service Your Mind Photographic Competition, PO Box 999, North Richmond NSW 2754.
8. An entry should not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity.
9. All entries will be judged and rated on photographic merit by a panel from The Land. The judge’s decision is final and cannot be contested.
10. The Land will select ten (10) submitted images to go into the final judging. In total ten (10) finalists will be selected and their photographs reprinted to vie for one (1) prize comprising a $500 JB Hi-Fi voucher and a Land merchandise pack. Two reader judges will each win one Akubra hat voucher valued at $200 each, and a Land merchandise pack (total 2 Akubra hats and 2 merchandise packs).
11. Panel based judging will take place from August 8, 2016 at The Land building, 159 Bells Line of Road, North Richmond, NSW, 2754.
12. Reader judging will be via coupon redemption through The Land Newspaper and popular vote at The Land site at Agquip field day, Gunnedah 16, 17 and 18 August . Reader voting will begin Thursday August 11 2016 and close last mail (17:00 AEDST) Friday August 26 2016. One reader voter will be drawn 18 th August at Agquip, one reader voter who entered by coupon in The Land will be drawn Monday 29 th August. Where possible the reader voter will collect their prize at Agquip. Otherwise prize will be forwarded by mail, email and/or courier.
13. The winner/s will be notified within 7 days of the winner determination and winner/s will be notified of their prize by phone and email.
14. The winner/s will be published in The Land, Thursday September 1, 2016.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity in order to claim a prize.
16. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory images, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry are of a type described in this clause.
17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries not received by the Promoter or delays in the delivery due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.
18. In participating in the competition, entrants agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed.
19. The prize cannot be transferred and cannot be redeemed for cash. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize.
20. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value.
21. All contestants release from, and indemnify The Land and Fairfax Agricultural Media against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
22. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
23. Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). The Land accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
24. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to Promoter.
25. An unclaimed prize determination will take place at The Land office, 159 Bells Line of Road, North Richmond, NSW 2754 on November 29, 2016 at 12:00 (AEST).
26. The promoter’s decision is final and the promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the competition result.
27. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements.
28. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions.
29. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information about you to enable you to participate in this promotion and may be used for further marketing purposes.
