IT IS the final countdown!
Readers have only days to submit their best shots for The Land Glove Box Guide to Mental Health photography competition.
The heat is on as photos from across the state flock in, and with entries closing on August 5, readers are encouraged to be quick and submit their best photo of how they take a break in the bush.
Judges will have a very tough job as readers have shared fantastic photos of how they enjoy a little downtime to suit the theme of this year’s competition, Service Your Mind.
So far readers have sent in photos of people going for a horse or bike ride, skimming stones, going for a walk, fishing and catching up with friends.
The Glove Box Guide to Mental Health is a tool aimed at helping those living in rural areas who might be doing it a little tough.
The guide includes inspiring, personal stories from rural and regional people and plenty of useful advice to help people keep their minds healthy.
The winning photograph will appear in the guide, which will be published on October 6.
There are great prizes up for grabs. The winner will receive a $500 JB Hi-Fi voucher, kindly sponsored by the Rural Advisory Mental Health Program (RAMHP). The Land merchandise will also be up for grabs.
When entries close next week, The Land readers will have the chance to vote for their favourite photo.
Visitors to Ag-Quip field days, which run from August 16-18, will also have the chance to vote.
Reader voters and those voting at Ag-Quip field days will go in the running to win an Akubra hat and a merchandise pack.
Winners will be announced in The Land on September 1.

Make sure you explain with your entry how this particular activity helps you to service your mind and keep mentally healthy in the bush.
Photos need to be your original work and at least one megabyte in size. It is preferable that entries include images of people.
