Applications have opened for The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) Rural Achiever Award, offering young rural leaders the opportunity of a lifetime.
Nearing its 27th year, the RAS Rural Achiever program recognises and celebrates the positive contribution young people make to agriculture and rural communities.
Wesley Rohr, a 2016 Rural Achiever, speaks enthusiastically of the opportunities the program has provided him.
Wesley has just 12 months left of a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, and is from Kandos.
“My involvement in the Rural Achiever program has been the greatest experience of my life to date,” he said.
“It has provided me with incredible networking opportunities in the agricultural industry, including invaluable veterinary contacts at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
“I’ve been able to broaden my knowledge and career prospects, as well as develop great relationships with other likeminded individuals,” he said.
