WITH the Olympics now at an end, there is another event for Aussies to show their support for homegrown talent, the 2016 World Steak Challenge.
Family-run Tamworth beef producer Jack’s Creek is heading back to London in September in a bid to defend their title after winning the event last year.
The world renowned competition, which is taking place on September 22, will see Jack’s Creek once again come up against the world’s top beef producers from all over the world with the view to retaining their title of the world’s best steak.
Managing director Patrick Warmoll said Jack’s Creek would be submitting two entries: the 2015 title-winning 450-day grain fed Wagyu striploin marble score 9+ via German distributor Albers Food, and a 150-day grain fed Black Angus striploin MB 3+ via Dutch distributor Zandbergen.
“The plan hasn’t changed, enter top quality products, present the meat appropriately and fingers crossed the judges approve again,” Mr Warmoll said.
