A free shuttle bus service around the Henty site this year will help ease the load of heavy shopping bags on weary legs.
Ian Dobson will operate two 12-seater buses around the site from 8.30am to 5pm each day, stopping at eight designated points to collect field day visitors.
He said the route was also flexible, with field day patrons able to flag him down to hitch a ride.
A shuttle service to and from the Holbrook airpark will also operate at 8am, 9.15am, 10.30am, 2.15pm, 3.30pm and 4.50pm.
Mr Dobson and partner Carol McIndoe have operated the Border Shuttle Bus Service at the Albury airport for the past seven years.
This will be his fifth year ferrying passengers around the Henty field days site.
He described the feedback he received last year as “positive’’ with people of all ages taking advantage of the service.
“A lot of people will come to the event for a few more days as they now know they can get off and on the bus around the site,’’ Mr Dobson said.
“There was a mix of different people using the bus last year – elderly people, families with young children and those with lots of luggage.
“People have come to rely in the service each year and think it is the greatest thing ever, specially if the weather is wet.
“We can provide businesses with a shuttle service from Albury-Wodonga to the Henty field days for their fly-in executives or VIP guests.’’
