NSW floods and storms | Everything you need to know

No new evacuation orders have been released since October 5.

Access is now partially restored to some areas across Forbes that were within the evacuation area.

The NSW SES  has issued a partial all clear for Forbes effective from 9am on Wednesday, October 5.

This means that it is now safe to return to the following streets: South West ForbesElizabeth St, Farnell St, Forester St, Hilda St, Junction St, Marcia St, Show St and Thelma St, Lachlan St.

North Forbes and the CBD – Battye St, Dowling St, Farrand St, Grenfell St, Parkes Rd, Rankin St, Renfree St, and Spring St Bedgerebong Rd, Camp st, Clear st, Cross St, Dowling St, Farnell St, North Circle Dr, Sam St, Sherriff St.

East Forbes – Bandon St, Oxford St, East Ferry St between Berkley St and Oxford St, Church St, Western side of Flint St, and James Street, Barwin St, Bridge St, Clark St, Herbert St, Orange Rd, Oxford St, Rifle Range Rd, Sandhills Rd, Twogood Ln, Young St.

South Forbes – Reymond St, Cargo Ln, Stacy St, Possum Lane.

People with access to transport can return to their properties in these streets now.

The Evacuation Order issued on September 24, remains in place for streets not mentioned in this partial all clear.

The Macintyre River at Boggabilla has fallen below the minor flood level.

The level of the Namoi River at Goangra has dropped below the minor flood level.

The Macquarie River at Warren dropped below the moderate flood level on Sunday night [09/10/16]. Minor flooding is current and is easing.

Releases from Burrendong Dam to regain airspace is continuing. The situation is being closely monitored and revised predictions issued if necessary.

Minor flooding is current along The Bogan River at Mudall where the river is expected to remain above the minor flood level by the middle of this week.

Moderate flooding continues at Mulgawarrina and Gongolgon.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:

Nyngan: Rise again and peak near moderate flood level (3.5 metres) around Tuesday[11/10/16]

Mulgawarrina: Peak near 5.4 metres around Monday[10/10/16] with moderate flooding

Gongolgon: Remain above moderate flood level (1.0 metres) through to late October

The peak of the flood wave in the Lachlan River is approaching Euabalong where a major flood peak is due on Tuesday 11/10/16. Major flooding is already current at Euabalong.

Upstream of Euabalong, moderate flooding is slowly easing at Forbes and at Cottons Weir and at Jemalong where major flooding is easing as the river falls slowly.

At Condoblin, major flooding is slowly easing where the river peaked near 7.1 metres last Tuesday [04/10/16].

Predicted River Heights/Flows:

Euabalong: Peak slightly above the current level of 7.02 metres Tuesday [11/10/16] with major flooding

Hillston: Exceed the moderate flood level [2.8 metres] today [10/10/16] and peak near major flood level (3.0 metres) around 20/10/16

Booligal: Peak near 3.0 metres early November with minor flooding

Minor flooding is current at Tumut due to planned releases from Blowering Dam. These releases are expected to prolong minor flooding at Gundagai and Wagga Wagga.

On the Murrumbidgee River, minor flooding is easing at Gundagai and at Wagga Wagga.

Moderate flooding continues at Narrandera where the river peaked on Sunday [09/10/16] at 8.00 metres.

Moderate flooding is now current at Darlington Point and at Carrathool where the river is rising slowly.

Major flooding is current at Hay Town where the river is rising slowly.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:

Tumut: Minor flooding easing but further rises possible depending on releases from Blowering Dam

Darlington Point: Rise close to major flood level [7.3 metres] Wednesday or Thursday [12-13/10/16]

Carrathool: Peak near 7.7 metres around Sunday [16/10/16] with moderate flooding

Hay Town: Peak near 8.4 metres around Wednesday [19/10/16] with major flooding

Balranald: Remain below minor flood level

Moderate flooding is now current and easing at Tocumwal.

Moderate flooding is current at Albury, Corowa, Yarrawonga, Torrumbarry and Barham, and along the Edward River at Stevens Weir and Moulamein.

Minor flooding is occurring along Edward River at Deniliquin.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:

Deniliquin: Reach 8.4 metres around 17/10/16 with moderate flooding.

Stevens Weir: Reach 6.5 metres around 18/10/16 with moderate flooding.

Moulamein: May reach 5.5 metres last week of October with moderate flooding

Echuca - Moama: Reach 93.7 metres around Friday 14/10/16 with minor flooding

Torrumbarry Weir: Reach major flood level (7.8 metres) around 17/10/16

Barham: Reach 6.0 metres around 21/10/16 with moderate flooding

Swan Hill: Reach 4.5 metres around 23/10/16

Wakool Junction: Exceed minor flood level (8.8 metres) Monday 10/10/16. Reach 10.3 metres around 17/10/16 with minor flooding. May reach moderate flood level [10.5 metres] early November

The Warrego River at Barringun has fallen below the minor flood level.

Minor flooding is occurring at Enngonia, where the river peaked near 2.3 metres (estimated) on Friday [07/10/16].

Minor flooding continues at Fords Bridge Bywash, where a moderate flood peak is expected later this week.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:

Fords Bridge Bywash: Peak near 2.4 metres around Friday [14/10/16] with moderate flooding.

The Paroo River at Willara Crossing has fallen below the minor flood level.

The Barwon River at Mungindi peaked near 6.34 metres Friday[07/10/16] with minor flooding. River levels have fallen below the minor flood level.

Minor flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Bourke.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:

Mogil Mogil: Remain below the minor flood level

Collarenebri: Remain below the minor flood level

Walgett: Remain below the minor flood level

Brewarrina: Remain below the minor flood level

Bourke: Reach 9.9 metres around Friday [14/10/16] with minor flooding

Minor flooding is current along the Darling River at Bourke.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:

Bourke: Reach 9.9 metres around Friday [14/10/16] with minor flooding

Louth: Reach 9.4 metres around 22/10/16 with moderate flooding

Tilpa: Reach moderate flood level (9.7 metres) around 29/10/16

(forecasts for Wilcannia and downstream will be made once upstream peaks are observed)

Minor flooding is continuing along the Murray River upstream of Lake Hume.

Rainfall totals up to 26 mm occurred overnight in the Upper Murray Catchment. Further significant rainfall isn't forecast.

This has led to some renewed rises in the Upper Murray River and its tributaries.

Murray River Biggara to Bringenbrong: Minor flooding is expected along the Murray River around Bringenbrong.

The Murray River at Bringenbrong is currently at 2.94 metres and steady. The Murray River at Bringenbrong is likely to rise again this afternoon and exceed the minor flood level (3.0 metres) during Monday evening.

Murray River Bringenbrong to Lake Hume: Minor flooding is expected along the Murray River Bringenbrong to Lake Hume.

The Murray River at Jingellic is currently at 3.85 metres and falling. The Murray River at Jingellic is expected to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) overnight Monday/Tuesday.
