A mammoth 184 rams sold in an auction total clearance to $16,000 and $2632 average at the 33rd annual Egelabra Merino stud sale at Warren yesterday.
The sale-topper went to long-time Egelabra client David Lowe, “Yoorooga”, Yeoval, who will use the ram within his Gerar Station flock near Nyngan.
Ten specially selected rams averaged $6600 while the remaining 174 averaged $2404 and topped at $5500.
This ram sold to Oliver and Phillip Wythes, Rockdale Merinos, Canowindra.
Rams sold the three states and a milestone was laid when one of Egelabra’s longest buying clients, Womboin Station, Girilambone, purchased its 750th ram among their purchases of 22 head at this sale.
