LIMITED demand from a small number of buyers for the 3500 sheep yarded of mainly Merino ewes at Narromine store sheep sale last Wednesday (November 16).
Andrew Peadon Agency’s Andrew Peadon, Trangie, said the November sale was usually small with harvest in progress.
Barry Mindham of Hartin Mindham Schute Bell, Narromine, said it was a cheaper market
Merino ewes topped the sale at $158 while first cross ewes made to $145.
Woolly mixed-age Merino wethers sold up to $136 a head for Anthony Coddington, East Roseville, Weilmoringle.
Peter Cruickshank, Trangie, sold the top Merino pen for Murrumbong Pastoral Company, “Wyoming”, Nevertire, who gained $158 each for 164 unjoined rising two-year-old Merino ewes Egelabra blood, March shorn, when sold to a Parkes restocker.
RC Brangwin and Company, “Evergreen”, Condobolin, sold 245 Merino ewes 1 ½ years, August shorn, Haddon Rig blood at $150 each to a local restocker.
Fairview Trading, Narromine, sold 160 first cross ewes, September/October 2015 drop, October shorn, for $140 to a Coolah restocker and 182 April/May 2016 drop ewes, October shorn, at $131.
R.J. Powell, Rawsonville, gained $107 each for 225 five to six year-old Merino ewes, May shorn, Boxleigh Park blood.
