The NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) is in the process of developing a fodder budgeting/grazing management app to guide grazing management decisions for producers in southern Australia. The app aims to improve efficiency of animal production under climate uncertainty through identifying real-time, tactical options in grazing management.
The app has potential to improve accuracy management decisions in both sheep and cattle systems and significantly reduce risk and enhance profitability. The DPI is calling for producers to complete a short survey to capture produce data for the app’s design. There is also an opportunity for landholders to register to be included in testing the product during the development phase.
