The latest generation of Mahindra’s small tractor range, the eMax25, ups the ante on support with a seven year powertrain warranty now offered as standard.
The eMax features an all steel design - like a “scaled-down tractor designed to work hard, and do so for a long time” according to Mahindra.
Mahindra national sales manager, Satish Chandra, encourages prospects to test the machines.
“Go and check out a competitive product in that segment, push on the ROPS and you'll see the tractor lift the back wheel off the ground.
“Imagine what that is doing to the drivetrain of the competitor product,” he said.
“The eMax 25s is made from cast steel and an all metal bonnet,” he said.
“It's a steel product, it’s structural components are not made of aluminium or plastic, it doesn’t have an aluminium housing like the competition.”
With the launch of the new eMax25s Mahindra has added a 7-year powertrain warranty.
Mahindra marketing manager, James Halliwell said the tractor’s strength is something they stood behind.
“We’re always heavier than the competition in each horsepower segment, and that enables us to push more, pull more and lift more.
“This gives us the competitive edge in the market where our competitors are taking the traditional strength of a tractor, steel, out of the product.”
The eMax features an 18 kilowatt Tier IV compliant engine without the need for a diesel particulate filter.
The tractor weighs 730 kilogram and in combination with a wide track and the longer footprint provides increased stability on challenging gradients.
The eMax features linkage lift capacity and hydraulic flow which Mahindra claims is the best in the industry, as well as a robust drawbar and Cat 1 linkage as standard
There’s also an industry-leading loader lift capacity of 250kg, and linkage lift capacity of 600kg when correctly ballasted.
“Another defining difference with our eMax25s tractor,” says James, “is that, at any point in time you can come back looking for a backhoe, and still fit it, or take it off any time you need to use your three point linkage - which I might add is also a standard feature of our tractor.
“Some brands don’t give you that freedom,” he said.
The brand is making inroads in many markets including the US where it is number three in their category.
The eMax 25 offers a wide range of attachments and implements including a drive-on mowing deck, self-leveling loader, 4in1 bucket, slashers, carryalls, rotary tillers, box scraper, and post hole diggers.
