DAVID and Victoria Stuckey with sons Tom and Gavin, have taken out their third consecutive win of the 37th annual Don Brown Merino Ewe Competiton at Condobolin.
Their Stuckey Pastoral's "Corella", flock 2015 drop ewes of May/June and of Belswick blood, beat 12 other entries in the two-day contest.
The family was presented the award contested by 13 flocks during the presentation dinner at the Condobolin Sports Club on Tuesday evening following the 37th annual two-day event.
The Corella commercial flock is only the second which has won the Don Brown Memorial Merino Ewe competition in three consecutive years in the 37 year history of the contest – Jon and Colleen L’Estrange, “Inglewood”, Condobolin, won the award on four consecutive years from 2004.
Third placing went to Allen, Peter and Vikki Stuckey's Murtong Pastoral.
The Stuckeys and runners-up, the L’Estrange’s, “Inglewood”,will now compete in the Central Western Merino ewe competition against winners and runners-up from the Ted Little Trundle and the Parkes maiden ewe contests.
