Renowned Australian ag equipment manufacturer, Gason took the wraps off a new generation Scari-Maxx assembly seeder, at the Wimmera Field Days this week.
The result of a collaboration between Gason and hydraulic systems specialists, Hydac, the 18 metre Scari-Maxx 100 features unique electric-over-hydraulic system allowing the operator to control functions from the tractor seat.
The machine’s frame functions including height and wing fold are now controlled through just one set of tractor remote hydraulic valves; as most planters usually require two sets of remotes, this frees up a set for alternative use.
The system comprises a hydraulic manifold valve block, an electrical control system and joystick operation.
The joystick, which can be strategically mounted in a tractor cab, has multiple functions.
It has height control operation available in both one-touch auto-mode or manual control to give operators complete flexibility at headlands or mid-run.
The wing fold operation runs through a sequence of events to effectively compress the seeder structure into a tight transport envelope.
A purpose-built mount frame, accomodating the optional ProTrakker hydraulic hitch, has been included. in the package.
