The Agrihack Innovation Harvest will see ideas, data, technology experience and inspiration converge in a two day session taking place in Wagga on April 6-7 2017.
Bringing together farmers, software and web developers, agribusiness professionals, mental health experts and academics from Charles Sturt University, sessions will be facilitated by Commonwealth Bank’s innovation experts.
Dianna Somerville, Agrihack Founder, commented, “In partnership with Commonwealth Bank and CSU, the event will focus on real challenges faced by people in agriculture and regional communities.
“The Agrihack Innovation Harvest will involve participants working in teams to creatively solve a number of different challenges that people face on the land. The event provides an opportunity to further connect the entrepreneurial ecosystem of metro areas to rural developers and disruptors.”
Commonwealth Bank’s Innovation Master classes will also explore techniques and methodologies that participants can use in their own business or studies.
The Agrihack Innovation Harvest will finish with a pitch to our board of judges and supporters. The winning teams will take home a cash prize and the opportunity to further develop their idea.
Agrihack Innovation Harvest 2017 is a local Wagga initiative run by businesswoman Dianna Somerville, owner of Regional Grants, Tenders and Corporate Services and the successful national pitch competition, Australia Post Regional Pitchfest.
