Are you a leader in your community? Working towards an advocacy goal? Then this could be for you.
The National Rural Women’s Coalition (NRWC) has launched its 2017 e-Leaders Advocate and Influence Program.
Applications are now open for rural women who have advocacy goals for their community, organisation or primary industry operation.
Since 2011, more than 220 women have participated in the e-Leaders programs offered through the NRWC.
NWWC president Alwyn Friedersdorff said the success of the program was due to the flexible nature of its delivery, coupled with the interactive learning design.
“The technology that we use in our programs enables us to create a learning environment that fosters collaboration and interaction amongst the participants and the presenters,” Ms Friedersdorff said.
A previous participant of the e-Leaders program Aimee Snowden said the opportunity was one which would not be forgotten.
“The e-Leaders Advocate and Influence program provided an incredible opportunity to learn from experts in social media, media releases, grant applications and so much more. The presenters were engaging and approachable,” Ms Snowden said.
Applications for the 2017 e-Leaders program opened on March 20 and will close on March 31.
NRWC encourages women to apply for the opportunity to grow as individuals and a group.
