Exuding a tremendous udder, it was Jason Park Julius Lindy bred by Meadow Vale Guernsey stud at Dorrigo who went ahead of its class against a fine line-up of exhibits to take-out senior champion and best udder at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Sired by Accelerated Golden Genetics Julius and from Jason Park Victor Lindy it was exhibited by Julie and Michael Moore, Meadow Vale, Dorrigo.
Under judge Mark Patullo, Numurkah, VIC, Jason Park Julius Lindy won its class over 4 and not over 6 years, in milk, before going on to dominate the senior broad ribbons.
Mr Patullo said the champion displayed evenness and consistency in-line with the Guernsey breed.
This senior cow is of outstanding quality - its certainly a cow that shows a lot of dairy, he said.
She shows a smoothly attached udder in both front and rear with great teat placement.
Meadow Vale also produced the reserve champion and production class winner, Meadow Vale Mentor Joyful, which began its top placings in the over 6 years, in milk, class.
It was sired by Mar Ral Royal Mentor and from Meadow Vale Banger Joyanne.
The intermediate judging was a cliff-hanger when another Meadow Vale exhibit trumped the best intermediate udder in the champion line-up to take out the top sash.
Kookaburra Gwab Eurangatuck 2nd, exhibited by Daniel Clarke, Kookaburra Guernseys, Wallalong, took out the best udder, but came in reserve to Meadow Vale Kringle Lovella, Meadow Vale, Dorrigo, who took out intermediate champion.
The Best udder was sired by Kookaburra Ozzi Gwab and from Kookaburra Hugo Eurangatuck.
Intermediate champion Meadow Vale Kringle Lovella, won its class under 2 and half years, in milk, before snagging the top sash.
Only on its first lactation, it is producing 30 litres of milk per day.
Most successful exhibitor was awarded to Meadow Vale, Dorrigo.
