Buyers and vendors were happy with the result of Friday's store cattle market where bargains were found in all categories.

CONSIDERING to high number of mainly weaner steers and heifers in the 4257 yarding at CTLX Carcoar store cattle sale last Friday, values, although slightly back on the previous sale, held well compared to yardings elsewhere throughout the state.

Light weaners held their own however, medium and heavier weights were quoted as $50 to $70 cheaper for steers and $50 to $60 cheaper for heifers.

PTIC cows sold to a very firm market with heifer topping at $1690 and cows to $2200.

Cows with calves, although not many, made to $2040 while three-for-one units of cow/calf and PTIC topped at $2600.
